We are optimistic about developments in the vaccine campaigns in the USA. Europe in general seems to be a little behind the US with the vaccination campaign. According to official communications in the US, it seems that travel restrictions are being relaxed gradually, at least for domestic travel. International travel, specifically travel to Europe and Italy, will depend on the situation in the EU and on travel rules agreed upon by the USA and EU. We are “cautiously” optimistic to see European borders opening to US travelers in the summer, hopefully before August. Obviously travelers will have to be either vaccinated or test negative to a covid test right before departure. We are also hopeful in the implementation of a “Vaccine Passport” which will show the covid status, either vaccinated or negative to a test. Please note the dates and forecasts indicated in this note are simply opinions of Ciao Italy Tours. We will keep updating this page as we have new information. Here you will find some updates from the EU about Vaccine Passport and reopening borders
